Edward Carlson

President and Managing Member

 

Mr. Carlson has been involved in multi-family apartment and condominium projects, either through direct ownership or asset management for over 30 years. In that time, he has worked on more than 100 different properties, in twenty states, totaling over 25,000 units. He directly oversees all aspects of Cornerstone’s acquisition, construction, and property management operations. Mr. Carlson holds a degree in Finance and Real Estate from Western Illinois University, is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Florida, and is a certified property manager.

Daniel Chase

Chief Financial Officer

 

Dan oversees all facets of Cornerstone’s financial operations including accounting, reporting, tax, and information technology functions. He has over 30 years of experience in multi-family management and finance working on over 15,000 residential units. Dan has been with Cornerstone since its inception. Dan received a B.S. in Accounting from Northern Illinois University Business School.

Ted Parsons

Director of Management Operations – Chicago

 

Ted has over 30 years of multi-family renovation and management experience in the Chicago area and the Midwest United States. He is skilled in the development and execution of project-specific strategies including financial performance along with cost analysis and controls. Ted has also had great success in team building and managing multi-state site operations. Ted is a graduate of the University of Missouri. He is also a licensed real estate managing broker and is active in the Institute of Real Estate Management.

Brian Jackson

Director of Management Operations – Florida

 

Brian started his career in 2010 in Hotel Management with the Marriott Corporation and has worked in senior management in the JW Marriott Miami along with other Marriott hotels. He came to us in 2019 to assist in our hotel management projects as well as special project management for new multi-family acquisitions and conversions. Brian is a graduate of the University of Central Florida – Orlando with a degree in hospitality management.

Michael Miller

Director of Leasing and Sales – Florida

 

Michael has over 10 years of experience in leasing, sales, and repurchasing multifamily rental and condominium properties throughout the State of Florida. He has been successfully overseeing unique assignments for Cornerstone including new project lease-ups and condominium repurchase programs. Michael has been with Cornerstone since its inception and is a Licensed Real Estate Sales Associate in the State of Florida.

Margaret McAvinue

Special Projects Manager – Florida

 

Margaret has been with Cornerstone since 2010 and is currently coordinating special projects and management for our Orlando Hotel Conversion projects. Her duties include hiring new site management staff and setting up new management and marketing programs for the conversion project. Margaret also coordinates deferred maintenance and capital improvement projects that are not included in General Contractor Construction Agreements.

Michelle Joyeux

Asset Management – Investor Relations

 

Michelle has worked on new acquisitions and special projects with Cornerstone since 2014 and came on full-time in 2019. Her duties include overseeing the property acquisition and due diligence process, coordinating information with lenders and investors, and managing the third-party report process. Michelle also coordinates and prepares regular required reports for lenders and investors.
